Anritsu Company Debuts MS203xB VNA Master Series Vector Network Analyzers

Anritsu Company, a provider of innovative communications test and measurement solutions, are claiming its released MS202xB/MS203xB VNA Master series handheld RF vector network analyzers (VNAs) are the most economical, high-performance VNAs in the industry.

With frequency coverage from 500 kHz to 4/6 GHz, and featuring multi-instrument functionality in a rugged, lightweight design for withstanding harsh environments, the products are designed to offer versatility, performance and value for aerospace, defense and general purpose field applications. They can help field engineers to find faults, optimize mission-critical systems, and maintain more sites while reducing operating and capital equipment expenditures.

The MS202xB/MS203xB VNA Master series is designed with a two-port vector network analyzer architecture that provides S11 and S21 measurements that are generally 10 times more accurate than scalar measurement approaches found in other economy handheld tools.

The MS203xB VNA Master models add integrated spectrum analysis for on-site verification or trouble-shooting. With frequency coverage of 100 kHz to 4/6 GHz, the instruments can detect everything between small signals and interference sources. Using the standard pre-amplifier, display average noise level (DANL) is -152 dBm (News - Alert) in 10 Hz resolution bandwidth (RBW). Dynamic range is >95 dB in 10 Hz RBW. The phase noise at 1 GHz is -100 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset, making the MS203xB well suited for interference sleuthing and rogue signal hunting.

The Anritsu (News - Alert) VNA Master series is claimed to be the most advanced family of ultra-portable handheld VNAs on the market. They feature unparalleled performance and essential RF and microwave capabilities at modest prices. The MS202xA series is designed to conduct precise vector-corrected 1-path, 2-port magnitude, phase and distance-to-fault location measurements from 2 MHz to 6 GHz. Vector capabilities offer far more precision than scalar procedures. Options can replace obsolete Vector voltmeter equipment, perform distance-to-fault (DTF), and display power sensing and monitoring.

MS202xB series is designed to bring 12-term, vector corrected two-port magnitude, phase, group delay and fault location measurements to mobile field test applications. They can measure and display all four S-parameters at once without reconnection. These features make them ideally suited for antenna and cable diagnostics, from 5 kHz to 20 GHz, anytime and anywhere. Powerful options are available to replace the obsolete Vector Voltmeter equipment, perform DTF, power sensing and monitoring, and provide secure data operations. The MS202xB models also support waveguide measurements.

The MS203xA series adds powerful spectrum analysis capabilities to the already innovative MS202xA series such that one instrument provides all essential RF capabilities in a truly portable yet high performance platform.
