Sikorsky Aerospace Unveils HELOTRAC 2X Fleet Management Software
To support its commercial rotary platforms, Sikorsky Aerospace Services (SAS (News - Alert)) has launched its new HELOTRAC 2X software. This is a web-based system that records, manages and reports essential information for enhanced fleet management operations.
HELOTRAC 2X (News - Alert) provides access to aircraft compliance information with instant links to OEM service bulletins and FAA Airworthiness Directives and offers scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tracking. It is flexible, scalable and can support any fleet size.
Peter Fuchs, SAS Director of Analytics & Technology, said in a statement, “The HELOTRAC 2X system is a sophisticated yet low cost maintenance tool that helps reduce our customers' operating expenses. The new program provides many advanced capabilities that help alleviate the maintenance burden on our customers.”
“HELOTRAC 2X is a commercial off-the-shelf solution available from any internet-based computer. By eliminating the need for downloads or software installations, our customers can easily and quickly access their fleet information anytime, anywhere,” Fuchs added.
The software also supervises and reports maintenance due projections, history log and archival and offers direct interface to Interactive Electronic technical Manuals (IETMs). Additionally, the HELOTRAC 2X system has the capability to integrate into aircraft equipped with Health Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) and thereby helps provide real-time aircraft status.
The new HELOTRAC 2X has advanced features over Sikorsky's legacy HELOTRAC RL system. It supports Sikorsky's S-434, S-76, S-92 and S-70i aircraft platforms as well as non-Sikorsky rotary and fixed-wing aircraft platforms. The company’s inventory maintenance work order and ground support asset tracking (GSATS) modules may likely be available by the end of 2012.
Last month, the firm signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Danish Aerotech A/S to discuss the possibility of establishing a maritime helicopter logistic support capability in Denmark if the Danish Government were to acquire MH-60R Seahawk helicopters for the Royal Danish Navy.
