These solutions are currently being shown at the HD World & SATCON Conferences and Expositions in New York.
Officials with TANDBERG Television said these new solutions will help the broadcast industry make ‘HD the new SD’ without compromising the ‘wow’ factor picture quality that is making high definition such a success.
The demonstrations will specifically show the new MPEG-4 4:2:2 system solutions, which use 10-bit video processing for improved color gradation and support HD encoding up to the 1080p/60 format. It also includes the existing Tandberg (

The solution also helps content owners and broadcasters increase bandwidth efficiency by delivering higher quality video or matching the current video quality using less bit rates than existing MPEG-2 delivery systems.
