The latter is an IP-based networking concept for the exchange of multimedia content over satellite, and allows broadcasters to share video and audio material along scatterd sites in a fully-automated and cost-efficient manner. It was used for live coverage at the 2008 Olympics.
In September, Newtec’s MENOS system was granted the IBC 2009 Innovation Award for Content Delivery. Also that month, Newtec’s FlexACM awarded 2009 Teleport Technology of the Year by WTA.
Newtec’s full product range includes broadcast, telco and IP DVB-S2 (de)modulators and modems, frequency converters, IP appliances, traffic enhancement software, complete broadband access networks and solutions for the primary distribution of mobile and terrestrial TV.
