Newtec Wins Satellite.TMCnet.com 2009 Product of the Year Award

Belgium-based Newtec, a manufacturer of broadcast modulators and other satellite equipment, ended 2009 by winning TMC’s sought-after “Satellite.TMCnet.com 2009 Product of the Year” awards for three of its products.

TMC (News - Alert), which announced the winners Dec. 30, said the first-ever Satellite.TMCnet.com award honors the most deserving companies that have demonstrated the vision, leadership and thoroughness associated with the “Product of the Year” awards.
FlexACM is an end-to-end solution combining a range of cutting-edge technologies for implementing ACM technology, IP shaping, compression and acceleration in an efficient way for IP trunking and IP backbone satellite links. The implementation of FlexACM can result in a doubling of the data throughput in a given satellite segment while also guaranteeing a 100 percent link availability, according to Newtec.
MENOS is a networking concept used to exchange multimedia content over satellite. It is intended primarily for professional broadcasters, allowing them to share video and audio material among several sites scattered across a large geographical area.
Sat3Play is an affordable, two-way satellite broadband system that has been designed for service providers that want to offer voice, data and television services in areas where no terrestrial broadband connection is available.
