Comtech awarded USD1.0m advanced satellite modem order

(EquityBites Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Comtech Telecommunications Corp (Nasdaq:CMTL) on Thursday said that Comtech EF Data Corp, a manufacturer of satellite communications products and the company's subsidiary, has received a satellite modem order for approximately USD1.0m.

The equipment will reportedly support satellite-based cellular backhaul in the Asia region.

The company said that the order comprises of the CDM-625, an Advanced Satellite Modem, which is the first modem to combine advanced Forward Error Correction with the revolutionary DoubleTalk Carrier-in-Carrier bandwidth compression, allowing for maximum savings under all conditions.
