Comtech Telecommunications Wins Advanced Satellite Modem Order For Asian Cellular Operator

November 20, 2009 (FinancialWire) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ: CMTL) said its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., received a satellite modem order for approximately $1.0 million. The equipment will support satellite-based cellular backhaul in the Asia region.
The order was for the CDM-625, an Advanced Satellite Modem, that builds on Comtech EF Data's legacy of providing the most efficient satellite modems. It is the first modem to combine advanced Forward Error Correction with the revolutionary DoubleTalk(R) Carrier-in-Carrier(R) bandwidth compression, allowing for maximum savings under all conditions.
