Top 5 Companies in the Cable & Satellite Industry With the Highest Beta (CVC, OUTD, DISH, SIRI, CMCSA)

Jun 28, 2012 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- Below are the three companies in the Cable & Satellite industry with the highest betas. Higher-beta stocks mean greater volatility and are therefore generally considered to be riskier but also may provide the potential for higher returns.Cablevision Systems ranks highest with a a beta of 1.2. Following is Outdoor Channel Holdings with a a beta of 1.2. DISH Network ranks third highest with a a beta of 1.1.

Sirius XM Radio follows with a a beta of 1.1, and Comcast rounds out the top five with a a beta of 1.0.
