Burglars steal $30,000 in computers, tools in Manassas Park

Manassas Park police are investigating the theft of $30,000 in tools and computer equipment from businesses earlier this week, officials said.
Somebody broke glass in a side door at White Oak Equipment, Inc. and Hartman Fleet, 9115 Industry Drive and stole eight computers a security system computer, plasma cutter, diagnostics laptop, a suitcase welder, monitors, modems, a computer server, a GPS unit, sump pumps, a photocopier and several tools between 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday, Manassas Park police spokeswoman Karen Barton said.
Police also said somebody discharged a fire extinguisher in an office area of the businesses.
Authorities found spray paint on the hood, grill and both sides of a 2007 Chevrolet Pickup, too, according to Barton.

Designer purses stolen from Woodbridge home
Designer purses and other items, valued at $4,700, as well as an undisclosed amount of money, were stolen from a home in the 700 block of Vestal Street in Woodbridge between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.

Jewelry stolen from Dale City home
Jewelry valued at $1,300 was stolen from a home in the 14200 block of Samantha Court in Dale City between 10:45 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.
Officers believe the burglar broke out a side window to get in the home.
