TrueVisions Connects Its Broadcast Facilities Using State of the Art High Fidelity Compression Systems From ATEME

PARIS --(Business Wire)--

Video compression solution provider ATEME announced today that TrueVisions, the leading cable and satellite television operator in Thailand selected ATEME's Kyrion encoders and decoders to link its main production facility in Bangkok with remote studios over optical fiber.

The decision to deploy ATEME's video contribution solution was based upon a first successful experience in 2011 with MPEG-4 4:2:2 10-bittechnology, which proved to deliver a perfect video quality with an interoperable and future proof platform. The sustained performance and reliability of the Kyrion products led True vision to retain the 10-bit encoders and decoders for the 2012 expansion of its network.

Roengrit Sereejumroenrojn, TrueVisions Director of Engineering, commented, "4:2:2 10-bit end to end simply means we have no visible degadation when we transmit video across our facilities. It makes sense for us. TrueVisions offers the best entertainment experience to its End users and it begins with a first class infrastructure to carry our content around."

ATEME will exhibit its full range of compression systems for broadcasters and service providers at the IBC show in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, September 6-11, on stand #F.70 in Hall 1.
