3DISC Launches Next-Generation Imaging Software at 2012 RSNA
CHICAGO --(Business Wire)--
3DISC,
a manufacturer of digital imaging solutions, will introduce its
next-generation QuantorMed+
and QuantorVet+
Imaging Software at the 2012 Radiological Society of North America
(RSNA) meeting in Chicago Nov. 25-30 (Booth #4406). Quantor+ Imaging
Software provides facilities using 3DISC's family of FireCR+ Medical and
Veterinary Readers with optimized image acquisition, processing, and
management capabilities.
With QuantorMed+ and QuantorVet+ Imaging Software, image acquisition is
supported by a comprehensive list of exams and anatomies. To optimize
images, technicians can crop, etch, enhance, increase brightness and
contrast, and perform other adjustments. The software includes an
updated color scheme, with a dark background that offers maximum
contrast when viewing images and is easier on the eyes of technicians,
radiologists, and veterinarians. It also features improved organization
of controls and grouping of functionality for work list, exam, and study
list buttons for fast, intuitive operation, and a visible navigation bar
is available at all times to guide users through workflow.
Thomas Weldingh, CEO of 3DISC Europe, said, "With our next-generation
software and unique touch-screen interface, image acquisition,
processing, and managment have never been easier. Facilities can use
the DICOM-compliant interface to download patient and exam information
from a work list, which can be automatically matched, eliminating the
need for data entry, or manually input patient and exam information. For
facilities without a HIS, RIS, or PACS, a local database enables direct
management of patients and studies-DICOM and non-DICOM images can be
viewed on the same workstation they were acquired on."
Weldingh said the embedded viewing tool allows for immediate diagnosis
and contains basic tools such as distance- and angle-measurements,
drawings, and other features, and QuantorMed+ and QuantorVet+ are
available in a variety of languages. Users can complete their imaging
software solution with an optional advanced viewer module-the
QuantorView-allowing them to view images via a network or the Internet,
and send them in DICOM format directly from the imaging software into
QuantorView.
Sigrid Smitt-Jeppesen, CEO of 3DISC Americas, said the introduction of
QuantorMed+ and QuantorVet+ Imaging Software is part of a larger story
being told by 3DISC at this year's RSNA, including the launch of a line
of FireCR+M Readers for medical and veterinary use that scan a full
range of the most used cassette sizes, along with the debut of the FireCR
Dental Reader.
"3DISC is at the forefront in providing a wide variety of CR readers and
software options so that customers can tailor solutions that meet their
exact needs," Smitt-Jeppesen said. "Whether a busy radiology department
or practice needing fast imaging speed; a large but space-challenged
clinic; a podiatry, orthopedic, veterinary, or dental practice; or a
smaller radiology department with a tight budget but plans to grow-3DISC
Imaging provides solutions to meet our customers' current needs, along
with flexibility that helps them grow.
QuantorMed+ and QuantorVet+ Imaging Software, along with the FireCR+M
Medical and Veterinary
Readers, will be available worldwide in the first quarter of 2013.
