LAS VEGAS, Nov. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Celebrating Legacy today announced Barry Hall as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Celebrating Legacy is a new social media start-up that provides Web-based subscription services positioned at the intersection of the Digital Afterlife, Genealogical Relationships and Social Media.

"Mr. Hall brings a strong background in Internet start-ups and a proven track record in obtaining capital to Celebrating Legacy. This experience and access to resources is critical at this stage of our company," said Randy Sutton, Founder and Chairman of Celebrating Legacy. "In addition, he has experience in building the right team, operational and technical, needed to attract capital and build this exciting new social media platform." Mr. Hall has more than 35 years of business experience that combines a strong financial background with a deep knowledge and practice of general management. He was the Chief Financial Officer of EarthLink, Inc. and led its IPO. He was the Chairman and CEO of CalAmp Corp, where he developed and directed the business strategy and marketing plan that turned the publicly held manufacturer of satellite television and wireless cable amplifiers from near bankruptcy to the Business Week's number 10 small corporation in the United States. He is also the Founder and CFO of Thwapr Inc. a mobile video technology company.

"Celebrating Legacy is the most exciting new social media opportunity I've seen. It takes the best of existing social media platforms, and adds to it the human desire to share family history, personal stories, births, deaths, military memories, and a wide range of family legacy we currently keep in hat boxes and loose pages in the back of old family books and bibles," said Mr. Hall. The personal desire to leave a legacy is keenly human and Celebrating Legacy offers an easy and interactive process in which to participate." Celebrating Legacy members have the tools to create, preserve and share the meaning of their lives and their memories and personal legacies. In doing so, they will also permanently honor the lives of their loved ones and those who have passed away. Additionally, Celebrating Legacy will provide a myriad of other services designed to bring family and friends closer together and provide comfort in times of grief.

The Company was founded by its Chairman, Randy Sutton. Mr. Sutton is a retired law enforcement professional who served with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for 24 years. He remains one of the most highly decorated police officers in the department's history.

Celebrating Legacy is in the second round of funding. New capital is needed to build an improved back-end platform in order to launch the Beta test of the website and to test market its various services.
