Market Maker Surveillance Report. BAC, GE, DISH, JPM, ZNGA, FB, Highest Net Sell Volume and Negative Price Friction For Monday, December 3rd 2012

Dec 04, 2012 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 4308 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2361 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3038 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Monday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), General Electric Co (NYSE:GE), DISH NETWORK CORPORATION (NASDAQ:DISH), JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE:JPM), Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA), Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below: Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction BAC $-0.050 -0.51% 34,260,564 34.64% 41,287,314 41.74% -7,026,750 -1,405,350 GE $-0.300 -1.42% 8,732,581 29.48% 11,002,666 37.14% -2,270,085 -75,670 DISH $-0.460 -1.24% 3,709,926 38.69% 5,801,078 60.50% -2,091,152 -45,460 JPM $-0.260 -0.63% 3,889,200 20.67% 6,852,639 36.43% -2,963,439 -113,978 ZNGA $-0.220 -8.94% 13,526,639 42.96% 17,939,505 56.97% -4,412,866 -200,585 FB $-0.970 -3.46% 58,546,732 47.55% 64,254,903 52.18% -5,708,171 -58,847 Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BAC down $-0.05000 with a Friction Factor of -1,405,350 and a Net Volume of -7,026,750. That means that it takes 1,405,350 more shares of selling than buying to drop BAC by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
