EchoStar reports Q3 net income

Dec 04, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- EchoStar Corporation, a satellite services provider and developer of video delivery technologies, has reported net income attributable to the company of $22.55 million, or $0.26 per diluted share, for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012, compared to net loss attributable to the company of $19.12 million, or $0.22 loss per diluted share, for the same quarter ended September 30, 2011.

Total revenue for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012 was $764.72 million, compared to $863.16 million for the same quarter ended September 30, 2011.

Net income attributable to the company for the nine months ended September 30, 2012 was $184.82 million, or $2.11 per diluted share, compared to $16.53 million, or $0.19 per diluted share, for the nine months ended September 30, 2011.

Total revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2012 was $2.33 billion, compared to $1.93 billion for the nine months ended September 30, 2011.
