Sirius XM Radio has the Lowest P/E Ratio in the Cable & Satellite Industry (SIRI, DTV, DISH, CVC, TWC)

Dec 21, 2012 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- Below are the three companies in the Cable & Satellite industry with the lowest price to earnings (P/E) ratios. P/E is an important valuation tool when comparing companies in the same industry. A higher P/E ratio means that investors are paying more for each unit of net income, so the stock is more expensive compared to one with a lower P/E ratio.Sirius XM Radio ranks lowest with a a P/E ratio of 5.64. Following is DIRECTV with a a P/E ratio of 12.39. DISH Network ranks third lowest with a a P/E ratio of 13.60.

Cablevision Systems follows with a a P/E ratio of 14.29, and Time Warner Cable rounds out the bottom five with a a P/E ratio of 15.95.
