TCS awarded order by Australian Defence Science and Technology Organisation for deployable VSAT satellite systems

Jan 18, 2013 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- TeleCommunication Systems Inc (TCS) (Nasdaq:TSYS), a provider of secure mobile communication technology, announced on Thursday the receipt of an order from the Australian Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) for its Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) satellite systems.

Financial details of the order were not available.

TCS said that its VSAT systems provide multimedia communications capabilities, which convey encrypted voice, video and data. Also, they are highly transportable and ruggedized and have a graphical user interface that facilitates easy set-up and operation.
