Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Awarded $1.2 Million Contract

Comtech Telecommunications Corp., (CMTL) has just revealed that its subsidiary Comtech Mobile Datacom (News - Alert) Corporation (CMDC) has been awarded a $1.2 million contract to support the International Force Tracking System (IFTS) of the NATO International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).

Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation better known as CMDC, is a Maryland-based company providing satellite-based packet data communication systems and location and messaging services by using advanced network and communication technology.

The newly inked agreement supports Globecomm Systems (News - Alert) International on the project. The process of upgradation is to increase the ISAF FTS track capacity and to include feeds from Afghan National Tracking Systems, ANTS and ISAF’s Movement Visibility System, MVS. CMDC is upgrading its GeoOps software program which is the central software application in ANTS. The upgrade includes system security components like command and control, C2 features, Geospatial information systems, GIS and Situational Awareness, SA.
