Indiana Gas and Electric Utilities and Allconnect Form Partnership
ATLANTA --(Business Wire)--
Allconnect, Inc. - the leading comparison shopping and connections marketplace for essential home services - has announced a partnership with Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO), Northern Indiana Fuel and Light (NIFL), and Kokomo Gas and Fuel that will provide a value-added, free service for customers relocating to new residences.
Through the direct transfer program, Allconnect and these three utility companies, which are subsidiaries of NiSource, will help customers who are moving arrange for new household services, such as high speed Internet, phone, cable TV, satellite TV, and home security systems, all at no charge.
"In our effort to continuously improve the customer experience, we will now be able to provide our customers with the convenience of handling the transfer of their household services through a single call," said Guy Asmus, Senior Vice President, Customer Engagement, NIPSCO. "We always want our customers to have an outstanding experience when they call. This program allows us to go a step further by addressing customer needs through an innovative, value-added service."
For example, NIPSCO, the largest of the three utilities, estimates nearly 237,000 of its customers relocate each year, requiring necessary support to help connect new residential services. Based in Merrillville, Indiana, NIPSCO serves 1.2 million natural gas and electricity customers across the northern third of the state. NIFL and Kokomo Gas and Fuel serve another 72,000 customers combined.
"We're excited to bring our expertise to this part of the Midwest through this partnership with these three utilities," said Mark Miller, Allconnect CEO. "Not only are we happy to help them better serve their customers, but this strengthens Allconnect's position as the market leader in helping consumers select, order, and manage essential household services whether they are relocating or simply accessing allconnect.com to find the best deal in their area."
