Telecommunication Systems Wins $3.8 Million Order from Army for Deployable Satellite Systems Equipment

Annapolis, Maryland-based TeleCommunication Systems (News - Alert) Inc. has announced the winning of a $3.8 million order from the U.S. Army. The world leader in secure mobile communication technology said it has received orders for its antenna systems, quad band satellite emulators and other support equipment.
The company further informed that initial funding on the orders totals $1.3 million and the orders will be funded up to a total of $3.8 million if the options are fully exercised through August 2011.
The U.S. Army Project Manager for the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (PM WIN-T) Commercial Satellite Terminal Program (CSTP) is funding these procurements through the Army's $5 billion World-Wide Satellite Systems (WWSS) contract vehicle.
