Cross Country - TechnoCom Combine Benefits Stranded Motorists

By Mini Swamy, TMCnet Contributor

Motorists stranded in the middle of nowhere in North America can breathe a little more easily, for Cross Country Automotive Services, a leading provider of driver and vehicle assistance services in North America, has joined hands with TechnoCom (News - Alert) Corporation and implemented Automated Location Spotting.

This will provide the precise location of the stranded customers, who are in need of roadside assistance, enabling Cross Country to provide motorists with needed help faster and more reliably using TechnoCom Corp.'s turnkey enterprise location solutions.

The TechnoCom Location platform enables Cross Country to utilize real-time caller location data that is automatically obtained from a landline telephone or a mobile telephone to precisely locate the address of the disabled vehicle. Once this is done, the information is immediately conveyed to the responding emergency service provider, who then takes charge of the vehicle.

"Location is the most critical data in a roadside assistance call," Charlie Cavolina, Cross Country senior vice president of Service Delivery, said, adding that with Automatic Location Spotting, they had made a significant investment in their proprietary systems to obtain precise location information through one of the most accurate methods available in the marketplace.

Cavolina added that the new service highlighted Cross country's commitment to and continuous focus on improving the services they offered to clients and customers through advanced technology.

TechnoCom President Masoud Motamedi praised Cross Country's innovative leadership in roadside assistance services and said that it was a fitting example of how, by leveraging emerging technologies, and the advanced location services, customers could be provided with comprehensive assistance.

For nearly 40 years, Cross Country Automotive Services has been a pioneer and thought leader in creating and delivering technology enabled service solutions for the auto and insurance industries.

Cross Country's innovative, privately labeled customer relationship management programs connect, inform and assist drivers while building brand loyalty.

Founded in 1995 and privately held, TechnoCom has been selected by Deloitte (News - Alert) as one of the 50 fastest

growing technology companies in Los Angeles for four consecutive years. It is a leading provider of products and services that enable enterprises to efficiently deliver location services.

In a related news release, Cross Country Automotive Services was recently named a recipient of USAA’s inaugural Strategic Supplier Excellence Award. USAA is consistently named as one of the top financial service providers for the U.S. military.
