“In this very competitive market, major maritime IT integrators require proven systems that mitigate project risk and reduce ongoing maintenance costs. OrSat's unprecedented track record is a testament to its technological superiority, operational performance and reliability over time,” said Avi Cohen, president and CEO of ORBIT Communication Systems, in a statement.

OrSat offers several benefits to customers. Originally introduced in 2007, OrSat leads the industry in satellite regulation compliance. The OrSat VSAT system is designed to support high-performance, high-speed, two-way broadband communications, company officials said.
The VSAT system enables several applications, including voice calls, fax, data transfer, video conferencing, e-mail, remote support, data backup and more. ORBIT's civilian and military customers for its OrSat systems represent all segments of the maritime industry including Oil and Gas, Navies, Commercial Shipping, Mega Yachts and Fishing boats.
ORBIT's products are deployed on board airborne, marine and land platforms with both military and civilian customers. Its customers include over 20 Navies and major integrators such as Airbus Military, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman (News - Alert) and Rockwell Collins.
Recently, ORBIT announced it won a contract from the U.S. Army for the production and delivery of the Voice Altitude Warning Systems for the Army’s combat deployed UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters. This IDIQ contract has the potential of reaching a value of over $5 million in the next five years.
