Hughes' Defense and Intelligence Systems Division to Participate in TechNet Land Forces South 2012

The Defense and Intelligence Systems Division (DISD) of Hughes Network Systems (News - Alert), (HUGHES) recently announced that they will be participating in the TechNet Land Forces South 2012 - Connecting Joint & Coalition Partners for the Next Fight to be held from July 10-12, 2012 at the Tampa Convention Center, Tampa, Florida.  Hughes Network Systems is a provider of broadband satellite solutions and services.

In a release, Daniel Losada, senior director, Defense and Intelligence Systems Division, Hughes, said, "TechNet Land Forces South is focused on joint and Coalition efforts across the Department of Defense (DoD) and government agencies with homeland defense missions. Hughes networking technologies integrate open standards, making us an ideal partner to architect advanced, interoperable, and secure solutions among agencies and with international partners, at home or in-theater."

Hughes will be showcasing its bandwidth optimizing technology solutions with the capacity-efficient ruggedized HX280 satellite broadband router. This Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2, is Level 2 validated and incorporates the new Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA (News - Alert)) IPoS-B standard, as well as the Enhanced Signalling Security capability essential to address transmission security (TRASEC) requirements. Furthermore, BGAN 9202, which is currently the smallest class 2 BGAN in the world, will also be featured by the company.
