Europe's Leading Bloodstock Auctioneer Picks Xirrus Arrays

By Meenakshi Shankar, TMCnet Contributor

Xirrus is a provider of wireless networks. At a time when everyone expects to connect wirelessly everywhere and business is increasingly done in the cloud, Xirrus wireless solutions have been providing a vital strategic business and IT infrastructure advantage in thousands of deployments worldwide. Its arrays deliver a level of reliability, performance and security as good as or better than wired.

Tattersalls Europe's largest bloodstock auctioneers, specializing in thoroughbred horses is taking advantage of Xirrus offerings and has selected Xirrus Wireless Arrays to deliver high capacity BYOD connectivity at its extensive Park Paddocks complex in Newmarket, England. The deployment satisfies the growing demand for connectivity from clients and will enable spectators to enjoy a better, more connected experience during sales and other prominent events.

"We're thrilled to be working with Tattersalls. The firm is a great example of how companies are innovating and diversifying to accommodate clients and to provide better experiences to customers and spectators," Sean Larner, vice president of International Sales at Xirrus, said in a press release.

Tattersalls’ choice was clear and the company believed that Xirrus can offer superior coverage with fewer devices. With so many people in the ring, Xirrus is said to have met high density demands.

“A few years ago we introduced a business centre as a service for our clients and ever since demands for connectivity have grown exponentially -- especially as wireless devices such as smart phones, tablets and notebooks have become commonplace. Our auctions are a public affair, regularly attracting a thousand people or more. We wanted to give customers and spectators a reliable wireless service across the entire complex,” said Frank Rowlands, IT manager at Tattersalls.
