TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc. (News - Alert), an RF solutions supplier and technology innovator, recently announced that it has been recognized with 2011 Supplier Award in the category of Technical Support from Huawei (News - Alert), a global information and communication (ICT) technologies solutions provider.
Huawei has recognized TriQuint for providing timely response to Huawei requests, solutions to all of Huawei’s technical questions within a requested cycle time, and supplying continuous value-added training for Huawei employees.
“For almost three decades we have developed and manufactured some of the highest quality RF products in the world,” said Brian Balut, TriQuint VP for Networks Products. “We pride ourselves in providing top service and support that enable our partners to bring to market the best devices and technical solutions. This recognition from Huawei, a long time partner, is a true honor.”
TriQuint products help reduce the cost and increase the performance of connected mobile devices and the networks that deliver critical voice, data and video communications. With the industry’s broadest technology portfolio, recognized R&D leadership, and expertise in high-volume manufacturing, TriQuint creates standard and custom products using gallium arsenide (GaAs), gallium nitride (GaN), surface acoustic wave (SAW) and bulk acoustic wave (BAW) technologies. The company has ISO9001-certified manufacturing facilities in the U.S., production in Costa Rica, and design centers in North America and Germany.
“Huawei appreciates the outstanding technical support from TriQuint. TriQuint implemented the application-specific demands within a short time, and they delivered solutions just as quickly,” said Mr. Libiao Wang, PDT (Product Development Team) Manager with Huawei. “We achieve our goals when our technical support team becomes an integral and dependable part of our partners’ organizations.”
Meanwhile, TriQuint Semiconductor recently introduced complete, cost-effective Ka-band gallium arsenide (GaAs) RF chipsets to support key requirements in very small aperture terminal (VSAT) satellite communications systems. The family includes a variable-gain driver amplifier, a 1 Watt GaAs monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) power amplifier, a subharmonic upconverter and a highly-integrated block downconverter.
