Dish Network Hiring in Denver Area

By Brittany Walters-Bearden, TMCnet Contributor

Finding employment is one of the biggest challenges that our society faces, making it a hot topic for presidential contenders and a daily reality for countless people nationwide. Although many people continue to suffer, Thornton, Colorado and Littleton, Colorado are getting an economic boost, thanks to Dish Network.

The satellite company plans on hiring 430 people, which will help in the ongoing battle against unemployment. They will hire 350 service specialists in Thornton, and 80 people will be employed in Littleton to become customer resolution specialists. Working for Dish Network provides call center employees with more than just a job, combining benefits with an ideal living location.

Dish Network said customer-service representatives can earn up to $11 an hour; customer resolution specialists can earn up to $13.10 an hour, plus up to a 35 percent bonus potential. The company said it offers full benefits including, but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and free satellite-TV system and programming.

According to their website, living in Colorado offers a number of benefits to those who wish to relocate. Among them are the scenic beauty of the Rocky Mountains, the unique blend of outdoor and urban life, and their 300 sunny days per year. For sports fans, Denver is considered a sports capital, with NHL, NFL, MLB (News - Alert), and NBA teams. Denver also received the distinction of being the number one destination for people between the ages of 25 and 34 by the Brookings Institution and of being one of the most fitness-conscious cities and of being of the five most-educated cities. They also have strong communication between teams and departments, afterwork intramural sports teams, and a number of celebrations.

With less-than-ideal employment figures nationwide, call centers are becoming a vital boost to the economy in cities across the country. People who are interested in applying should do so at www.dish.com/thornton and www.dish.com/littleton.
