DISH Offers On-Demand Movies and Shows on iPad

Enhancements to the popular DISH Remote Access app for the iPad have been announced by DISH Network LLC. Thousands of on-demand movies and TV shows can now be streamed and watched by DISH customers on their iPads. An announcement in this regard has been made by DISH Network at the 2012 International CES (News - Alert).
Popular movies, TV shows and kid's programming can be now watched by DISH customers if theysubscribe to the Blockbuster @Home package or select premium movie packages, including HBO and Cinemax. The updated DISH Remote Access app can be used by DISH subscribers on their iPad to watch these movies and TV shows.
In a release, Vivek Khemka, VP of Product Management at DISH said, "DISH is known for innovation, variety and value and has raised the bar when it comes to developing innovative ways to watch TV, whether on a big screen TV in your living room or on an iPad at the airport."
According to Khemka, a wide variety of entertainment options that are not found elsewhere are available to DISH customers. TV can be now watched everywhere in an easy manner with the enhanced app from DISH. The ultimate entertainment experience is therefore delivered.
A DISH log-in ID and a broadband-connected iPad are required to stream movies and TV shows using the enhanced DISH Remote Access app. DISH customers can avail the DISH Remote Access app for free from Apple's (News
- Alert) iTunes Store.
A DISH Sling Adapter and a broadband-connected compatible DISH HD DVR receiver are required to watch live TV on the iPad. Further information on DISH Remote Access is available at www.dishnetwork.com/tveverywhere/remoteaccess.
