Homeland Integrated Security Systems Expects Sales Boom Following Passage of House Resolution 3179
By Pramila S. Raj, TMCnet Contributor
Homeland Integrated Security Systems recently announced that it is expecting significant sales increases following passage of U.S House Resolution bill 3179, signed by President Bush on June 26. This "Local Preparedness Acquisition Act" empowers state, local and tribal governments to make purchases, without time-consuming formalities, of law enforcement and security related items through the federal supply schedules like the General Services Administration (GSA (News - Alert)) Schedule and the GSA Advantage catalog.
Homeland Integrated Security Systems owns proprietary technology along with its Cyber Tracker product line, which has applications for data functions across a variety of industries utilizing Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), Integrated Digital Enhanced Network (IDEN) and Global System for Mobile (GSM) technologies. Cyber Tracker technology is used in airports, train stations, various government organizations, school districts, commercial buildings, law enforcement agencies and fleet tracking systems as well as for personal safety.
On August 1, Homeland Integrated Security Systems' asset tracking products and accessories were included on the GSA Schedule and later its products were also listed in the GSA Advantage catalog. With Resolution 3179 in force, various government agencies can now directly purchase security related items from the company without a bidding process that would have otherwise involved other companies.
“This House resolution provides us with a much greater opportunity to reach a wider customer base for our security and asset tracking units and accessories,” said Fred Wicks, CEO and president at Homeland Integrated Security Systems, in a statement. “Being added to the GSA Schedule and GSA Advantage has really opened a lot of doors for our company.”
Homeland Integrated Security Systems recently held a nationwide teleconference to discuss many issues and it also included the GSA Schedule, MANAonline, the Newell Coach pilot program and the “green” benefits of Cyber Tracker.
Cyber Tracker includes a "Smart Box" GPS tracking device that provides maximum efficiency and adaptability.
