Prysm Pro can be customized to support multiple secure wireless networks and provides integrated support for a wide range of corporate applications including out-of-the-box support for data acceleration, retail applications/POS hardware interfaces, PCI compliance, and multimedia content delivery such as digital media. Spacenet claims that no other product in the market can boast such features.
Spacenet officials have said that Prysm Pro has the flexibility to address all site-level networking and application requirements on a single device solution. Many of Spacenet’s major customers are using Prysm as the core of their high availability hybrid networks and to address a wide range of requirements including PCI compliance, enhanced security, and backup connectivity for business continuity. With its advanced features and functionality, Prysm Pro can offer the company’s customers increased utility and cost effectiveness of their communications networks and corporate wide applications.
Prysm Pro is integrated with Spacenet’s managed network services and designed for deployment in Wide Area Network and Local Area Network environments. On the WAN side the appliance interfaces to a VSAT, DSL, cable, or 3G-wireless modem. Its LAN attaches via Ethernet and USB to IP-based devices and via serial ports to legacy serial devices. The Prysm Pro can also be purchased with an integrated SkyEdge or SkyEdge II satellite router module.
Spacenet has selected a multi-year agreement with SES (News - Alert) AMERICOM-NEW SKIES and had expanded its reach with new Connexstar international satellite.
