Dash Carrier Services, a provider of wholesale carrier products and services, and VIXXI Solutions, reportedly have entered into an agreement through which the companies will merge assets and become a single-entity provider of wholesale carrier and emergency services under Dash Carrier Services (News - Alert).
The merged company will continue to offer services under the respective Dash and VIXXI brands, with all operations integrating under the Dash corporate umbrella in 2010.
“This transaction is an extension of existing synergies between Dash and VIXXI, and allows both companies to move forward as a streamlined, fortified unit with the resources to reach a larger, global carrier audience,” said, Justin Nelson, CEO, Dash in a statement.
“We are financially stable and profitable, and will hit the ground running from day one,” said Nelson.
According to Dash Carrier officials, the new company will continue to move forward on leveraging the VIXXI geo-spatial routing capabilities as part of both existing E911 solutions and of NG911 ready network deployments.
Company officials said that as a result of combining a nationwide E911 network with an integrated interface and full suite of back-office products, carriers nationwide are now able to route their respective emergency service calls via a single provider.
“Over the past 10 months, Dash has made very impressive progress as both a business and next-generation telecommunications leader,” said Christopher Camut.
Camut said that he looks forward to serving on the company’s board of directors and to further meet the needs of the customers as the company continues to build the industry’s premiere emergency services network.
VIXXI Solutions, the nationwide E911 provider, covers the end-to-end architecture of emergency communications with patent-pending, IP-based technology.
Under the terms of this agreement, Dash CEO, Justin Nelson, will maintain his role as senior executive, and VIXXI president and CEO, Christopher Camut, has been appointed to the Dash Carrier Services Board of Directors.
