TelVue's New B3000-PRO Now Supports Multi-Channel High Definition

TelVue Corporation announced recently a new addition to its Princeton Digital Broadcaster series – the new B3000-PRO which offers up to four independent High Definition play-out channels and professional quality digital HD-SDI outputs.
TelVue Princeton Digital Broadcaster includes a portfolio of products that are designed by combining the company’s proprietary media server technology with the broadcast needs of people.
The new TelVue B3000-PRO HD Digital Broadcast server is said to include a sophisticated play-out scheduling interface, content and server management and content validation all controlled through an intuitive browser-based server. Each B3000-PRO output channel is said to support up to 70Mbps MPEG-2 TS or 45Mbps MPEG-2 PS 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 play-out with external genlock, Dolby bypass and automatic HD/SD up and down conversion.
“A number of our Pro and Cable customers have been anxiously waiting for this new TelVue HD-SDI Broadcaster server to upgrade operations from SD to HD. We can now offer customers a single video server with four independent outputs supporting anything from standard definition 480i to 1080p high definition,” said Daniel Pisarski, vice president of engineering at TelVue.
“In addition, our development team engineered this product with several significant platform enhancements such as a new RAID6 content storage array, high efficiency redundant power supplies and a quieter cooling system,” Pisarski said.
TelVue’s digital video servers are said to be in use 24x7 at more than 500 broadcast and cable outlets in the United States and overseas. TelVue serves professional broadcasters, PBS stations, cable, telco, Higher Education and PEG broadcasters with innovative and cost effective solutions.
