eTelemetry Announces E911 System for Avaya's IP Office

eTelemetry (News - Alert), a major player in extracting real-time business information from network activity, has introduced an E911 solution for Avaya’s (News - Alert) IP Office.
Officials with eTelemetry said that the company’s Locate911 Emergency Notification System, or “LENS,” immediately notifies personnel when anyone on the voice network places an emergency call, resulting in improved response time and greater E911 compliance.
According to company officials, LENS enables organizations to know who made the call and where to find them so internal personnel can provide first response and direct emergency services.
The LENS On-Site Notifications deliver location information via a Windows-based desktop alert agent and email to multiple recipients. Industry-first map links within alerts provide added insurance that responders will know where to go in an emergency.
Company officials said that LENS limits organizational liability and helps meet E911 regulations by providing alerts immediately when a 911 call is made with life-saving location information for emergency responders.
LENS is available as software for IP Office and is easily installed on any Windows server.
eTelemetry officials said that the company’s proven E911 solutions, LENS and Locate911, are also Nortel (News - Alert) Select Products for the Communication Server 1000, or “CS 1000,” and are certified compatible with Avaya’s Call Manager.
eTelemetry is leveraging its E911 expertise to provide superior alerting technology for Avaya’s IP Office platform.
“LENS for IP Office delivers critical, life-saving E911 alerts with location information to small and medium-sized businesses,” said Ermis Sfakiyanudis (News - Alert), CEO, eTelemetry in a statement.
Sfakiyanudis said that this low-priced, best-in-class technology provides workplace safety and E911 compliance for companies that may not have previously been able to afford an E911 solution.
eTelemetry's products provide life saving 911 location information, monitor and control employee web surfing, and provide network device identity for security and compliance. The company’s latest product enables network monetization for the hospitality industry.
