AT&T and Samsung Mobile Unveil Samsung Rugby II

Rugby II is military-certified to withstand a harsh environment and provides improved noise suppression, a 2.0-megapixel camera with Video Share capability, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, and more, the company has announced in a press release.
Making it easier to communicate regardless of the environment, the Rugby II is available in a grey, rugged clamshell design, features an external speaker. Ideal for use even in the toughest of environments, the Rugby II is also certified to military standard MIL-STD-810G to withstand dust, shock, vibration, rain, humidity, solar radiation, and altitude and temperature extremes.
“The Samsung (News - Alert) Rugby II offers our customers a sturdy phone that can withstand some of the roughest environments,” said Michael Woodward, vice president, Mobile Phone (News - Alert) Portfolio, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. “This is a no-nonsense, durable device with easy-to-use features like Push-to-Talk and a one-touch button to keep you in touch with your contacts while backed by the nation’s fastest 3G network.”
Offering voice-guided and visual turn-by-turn GPS driving directions with automatic reroute, full-color maps, and real-time traffic alerts, as well as AT&T Family Map, the Rugby II features AT&T Navigator. The Rugby II also includes access to aGPS applications, including Loopt (News - Alert), Trimble Outdoors, AllSport GPS and Where. It also facilitates AT&T’s Mobile Resource Management applications, TeleNav Track and Xora GPS Timetrack from AT&T (News - Alert)
Recently, BBB (The Better Business Bureau) joined AT&T in announcing that AT&T Mobility had earned “A” from each of the 110 independent BBB offices across the country and has become the only company to earn 110 BBB accreditations and “A” ratings. Ethical business practices and responsiveness to customer concerns have been cited as the main reasons for such accreditations and ratings.
